Using Instant Commissions To Drive Traffic and Sales To Your Website
One of the absolute best methods to drive traffic to your website is through the use of an affiliate program. All you need to do is set up an affiliate program, provide them the tools and let them go to work, right? Not always. Take advantage of one aspect of affiliate programs that affiliates love, the instant commission, and watch your website traffic soar.
What are instant commissions?
They are exactly what you might think, instant. More importantly, they are paid instantly to the affiliate who is doing all the work to promote and acquire traffic to your offers. This means that for every sale the affiliate generates they are paid that day. This sure beats the normal waiting period of 30 days or even more for some affiliate programs.
What if there are refunds?
People worry about refunds on instantly paid commissions for some reason more than they do for a 30 day payout. As if somehow paying "those who work for you" is at fault for the refund. People will refund products all the time. Some people are actually habitual return-ers. They buy and return stuff no matter who sold it to them or when the affiliate gets paid. Even if the affiliate does get a refund, simply apply the balance forward to their next sale. Your affiliate program hopefully has a way to track both sales in refunds to account for them both.
Why do affiliates try harder with instant commissions?
Ever heard the saying "a bird in the hand"? Well, money in your affiliates pocket is an incentive. Who likes to wait 30 days to enjoy the spoils of hard work. Affiliates with instant commissions will often drive that much more traffic to your website simply because they could use extra cash this weekend. Perhaps they have a party, or some vacation coming up, who knows.
But my payment processor doesn't do payments that way.
Find a different payment processor for your affiliate program. Or learn more about the one you have. There are plenty of methods for paying affiliates right away. Even PayPal has the ability to do split payments or a round-robin where the affiliates might get every other payment on a 50/50 split for instance. There is no rule that says an affiliate payment center has to come through your actual office. I know it is nice to "handle" the money, but if your affiliate program is set up properly with a respected company you should have them do the work. In either case, offer your affiliates instant commissions and watch them get reinvigorated to drive even more traffic to your websites.

Traffic Generation Ideas - Using Product Launches To Drive Massive Traffic And Sales
If you are a website owner, businessman, or marketer who even has an email address, then you likely get inundated with emails every week with new products being created all the time. There is a new product, a new offer, a new cool piece of software, or something it seems every time you open your inbox. Do you think people are really cranking out tons of new products every week? Or are they using this simple product launch technique to drive traffic to their websites?
Yes, there is a process and a pattern to the product launch. IF it is followed then it can easily bring server melting levels of traffic to your pages. But how does one implement a product launch?
What is a launch?
Any time you plan on creating a new product, you eventually release it to the public. Most marketers will release it, put it on their website, and hope that people will find it. This is the wrong way to go. Instead, a product launch is an announced event. Write a press release with the scheduled launch date. Advertise the product is coming. Sign up affiliates long before the product is ready. Give them the tools to promote the site. Don't wait until the product is done in order to start the process of driving traffic. Include a squeeze page on your site, and let people promote it like crazy.
How does a launch work?
When done properly, yes. Successful product launches have been known to work almost too successfully. In fact, the entire process is about creating "buzz" for the product. People like to know when things are coming out. It gives them time to prepare for it. Affiliates have time to set up promotion campaigns, users have time to save money for the product, and you still need to create it. You can further increase traffic by "leaking" sections of the content to the public. A launch is designed to get people hungry for the product, and then build anticipation while they wait for it.
How does a launch drive traffic?
If you have done your product launch properly, expect one of two things. Either it will flop, possibly a bad product or niche, or you will likely be on the phone calling your web-host to apologize for crashing a n entire bank of servers. The more affiliates you had during the launch will make a big difference. Some niche, particularly Internet marketing, often have launched sites with super-affiliates which could bring hundreds of thousands of live visitor traffic in less than 24 hours.
After the launch.
After the product launch you will have to get back to work. The excitement is over. Traffic will drop off and you will have to make sure all the servers are working, and that people are happy with your product. But wait, you can start the next product and make an announcement of the release date and upcoming launch. Then repeat the massive traffic cycle all over again.

How to Get Traffic to Your Website And Convert It To Sales
Traffic is the lifeblood of websites. If you're like most people, you concentrate on the headline figures of how many page views you've had and how many unique visitors have looked at your website. But that's not the only thing you should be thinking of. Quality of traffic is much more important than quantity. Sure, you'd like both, but quality far and away outshines quality. So how can you get more traffic to your website and make sure it converts to sales?
Make sure your site is easy to navigate
How many times have you clicked onto a site with high hopes only to be met with a site that doesn't live up to your expectations? Big images take ages to download. Flashing or slide-show type images are usually a distraction. Check everything over with fresh eyes - or breathe down the neck of someone who's using your site for the first time.
Check for things that are the darlings of website designers but don't necessarily translate into a good user experience. Menus are one of the prime culprits here - if your mouse has to be in precisely the right place for menus and sub-menus to work, chances are that your users will give up and find an easier site. But check other usability issues as well - little things make big differences on conversion.
Check your page titles
These are the call to action that users click (or don't click) before they even reach your site. If your page titles are dull and boring, potential customers and traffic won't even get to your site.
As with the site itself, run a check. Just use site:yourwebsite.com in Google to see how your page titles look. If they're boring to you or don't instantly tell you what each page is about, fix them. It will take a while for the new titles to show up in Google but it's worth the wait. Encouraging people to click through to your site with better titles will make a measurable difference to your website traffic.
Get more (relevant) links
Links are one of the determining factors in how well your website ranks in the search engines. Put simply, the higher you rank the more traffic you'll get to your website. So this is a big determining factor in getting more traffic to your website.
Make sure that your links are friendly - don't go spamming other people's sites with spammy comments in the hope of getting a backlink or two. If you do post comments (and this technique can work when done properly) then make sure they are a useful contribution to the page topic.
You can also get relevant links by writing useful articles like this one. Send them to the main article directories or even offer to write a guest post on someone else's site. The latter option takes more effort than writing for an article directory but if you choose a site that complements yours then it can be a goldmine.

Traffic Is NOT Everything - You Need To Have Effective Sales Funnel In Place Now
Traffic is everything... if you have heard this before, you are not alone. Added web traffic make sales for you if your offers convert, but without compelling sales offers, they mean a very little.
In the summer of 2011, a power transformer nearby my Arizona house caught fire. As a result, over 150,000 people were without power for 9 hours. I went to a local mall in search of AC, and wow, it was like Christmas week! Thanks to the generator, the businesses at the food court had one major sale day with so many local customers flocking to the mall (hope they didn't run out of food to sell).
It seemed it was a money-making time. It was for the food court, but other mall businesses could care less about the traffic. Even with so many people in the mall, as far as I could see, people were not making their way into the stores inside the mall. It was just a "crowded mall" and "business as usual". People were not there to shop, but to only "cool off" until they regained the power back once again.
Traffic Is Not Everything
Ironically, this "surprise" traffic did not convert into business for the non-restaurant folks in the mall. In fact, the sad look I saw in the faces of sales clerks reminded me that unless the people had compelling reasons to buy, the crowded marketplace was useless for these businesses.
When it comes to internet marketing, when someone says "Traffic is everything", it's usually uttered by folks who do not know how to drive effective traffic. So it's a mystery for them - if they could just solve this "traffic problem", all their problems get solved.
What Do You Need to Have In Place of Traffic
The good news is if your website offered valuable content it should attract visitors overtime from organic search results. However, the real breakthrough comes when you figure out how to convert backend offers into sales. So, the questions you should be asking yourself at this point are -- do you have a follow-up system in place? How do you build relationship with your clients and non-clients? Once you get people to take your free or low ticket item, how do you up-sell, down-sell, or cross-sell?
You should first have a free or low-cost sample piece that allows your prospects to experience your products and services with very low risk. What you need here is to delight your prospects - we will call this your frontend offer. This frontend offer provides more value to your prospects than the cost, but if you have a good backend system in place, you should be able to recover the cost.
Next, what you need to know is out of all the people who took on the front-end offer, how many people bought your up-sell? And if they bought the up-sell, how many people then bought the 2nd up-sell? If they say no the up-sell, would they buy a down-sell? If they say no, would they be interested in a separate offer such as an affiliate promotion? Would they respond to your affiliate promotion if you offered one of your products as bonus?
With advanced shopping cart available today at affordable cost, this backend promotion can be completely hands-free. This is one reason if you have not, you should take your business online!
The Key Is To Build Backend System Then Add Traffic
Of course, traffic is important. But as you could see, it isn't everything. The real key here is to build a profitable backend system so that you know every time you generate traffic, you can predict certain return of investment. In fact, you can even generate paid promotions if you know exactly how your offers convert. It's zero-risk to you at this point.
By the way, do you want to learn how to build a profitable funnel that converts all day? If so, I suggest you check this out: build sales funnel.
